Barry Irvin
Chairman
Barry Irvin is also Chairman of Bega
Cheese.
Barry’s background is finance, he spent the
first years of his working life in banking before returning to operate
the family farming businesses. He became involved with Bega Cheese
while continuing to grow his dairy and beef business. He now operates
over ten properties in the Bega Valley.
Barry’s involvement in the dairy industry
includes his role as Chairman of Bega Cheese and Deputy Chairman of
Capitol Chilled Foods (Australia) a Canberra based milk processing and
distribution company.
Barry’s other interests include charitable
work and he has led a team that has raised over $10 million for children
with autism. |

Aidan Coleman
Director
Member of the Board since May 2011
Aidan was appointed
CEO of Bega Cheese in May 2011 and was previously the CEO of TMI, a
position he held since August 2008. Aidan has held other positions
including Manager Director–Fonterra Brands Australia, CEO of Bonland
Dairies-Australia, Managing Director of New Zealand Milk in Sri Lanka
and was General Manager of the Consumer Foods business of Tatua Dairy
Cooperative in New Zealand. He has 27 years’ experience in the
international marketing and manufacturing of consumer dairy products and
dairy ingredients primarily in Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan,
South East Asia, Latin America and the Indian sub-continent.
He holds a Bachelor of
Arts in economics and psychology from Auckland University and a Business
Degree in marketing from Massey University in New Zealand, as well as
being a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Since
2009, Aidan has been a director of Dairy Innovation Australia Limited,
an industry funded research/innovation organisation.

Bega Cheese
Colin Griffin is General Manager Finance/Bega Franchise
Manager/Company Secretary. Colin has been a member of the Senior
Executive Team of Bega Cheese since joining in 1993. Colin has
headed up the finance, commercial and legal aspects of Bega Cheese
since that time. In addition, Colin has been responsible for Bega
Franchise since 2005. Colin has championed Bega Cheese’s review of
and investment in Tatura and has gained a sound understanding of the
Tatura business.
Capitol Chilled Foods
(Australia) Pty Ltd
(Joint venture with Dairy Farmers in relation to the processing and
distribution of daily milk and other chilled foods in ACT/SE NSW)
Colin is a founding director of CCFA, joining the board in 1997.
Colin was responsible for establishing the joint venture and
strategic alliance with Dairy Farmers and represents Bega Cheese’s
interests on that board.
